SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN!!

Join a fun day of drama activities, building confidence and learning to express ourselves in new and creative ways!

What will we do on the day?

  • There will be a 90 minute workshop run by Darcy-Lee Tindale, followed by a 30 minute talk on the entertainment industry by Jon-Claire Lee.
  • The workshop itself will include theatre sports, improvisations and a short scene presentation at the end.

About our hosts

Here is some information about the well-credentialled teachers that will be running the workshop:

Darcy-Lee Tindale

Darcy-Lee Tindale is the Speech & Drama Coordinator at Abbotsleigh School for Girls in Wahroonga NSW, actor, author, theatre sports player, director and has appeared in television commercials, film, and on stage. Darcy has directed plays at Newtown Theatre, St Martin’s Theatre in Victoria, Parramatta Riverside Theatre, Belvoir Theatre, and the Seymour Centre. Her love of quick wit plays a large part in her passion for Theatresports. She has been a long-time performer with IMPROAustralia, having performed in shows across NSW, including Mixed Shaken and Stirred at the Belvoir Theatre alongside Daniel Cordeaux from televisions Thank God You’re Here, and regular a performer at the Roxbury, Harold Park, Clarence, and Bondi Pavilion Theatre. Darcy has been a judge and host for The Schools Theatresports Challenge. Darcy has been trained in both the Meisner and Chubbuck Technique, trained with NIDA, The Actors Pulse, STC, AFTRS and has an ATCL Performers and FTCL Directors Trinity Guildhall Diploma and a BA in Creative Writing and Literature.

Jon-Claire Lee

Jon-Claire is the director of Sydney Talent Company, which has represented actors in the Australian entertainment industry for the last 38 years – for film, TV, stage, commercials, print, etc. Being a graduate of New York University (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting, and Masters of Fine Arts in Film and TV Directing), he came to Sydney in 1991 and has coached numerous STC actors who have gone on to work successfully in the industry, including Dieter Brummer, Kate Garven and Beau Brady (Home and Away); Luke Jacobz (Host for The X Factor); Delta Goodrum (Neighbours) and many others. Jon-Claire himself has featured in international films (Mao’s Last Dancer, Muriel’s Wedding, Nim’s Island, The Exorcist III, Raise the Titanic, etc.) and TV dramas (Home and Away, GP, Singapore Sling, Heartbreak High, Joh’s Jury, All Saints, Wildside, Young Lions, Sea Patrol, Mako: Island of Secrets, etc.) He has produced and directed two recent feature films: Innocent Killer (2017) and Greed (2019), which have gone on to win many festival awards in Australia, the USA, France and other countries around the world.
