Hi everyone,
I hope 2024 has gotten off to a smooth start for you all!
We have a full calendar of workshops planned out for this year, catering to those who are aged 9 years and up, all through to 18 years old.
There are many fantastic opportunities for teens to come and experience the uniqueness of what we do at Hear For You – whether it be meeting others just like them, enjoying a fun group activity and/or sharing experiences with others who absolutely get what’s like living in between the deaf and hearing world.
Beyond our workshops, here’s a quick snapshot of Hear For You has in store for 2024:
- Changes to our volunteer/mentor intake requirements – we have now lowered our age requirement from 21 years to 18 years. Contact us if you want to become a volunteer or mentor!
- World Hearing Day – Monday 4th March. We are part of the Macquarie University Australian Hearing Hub activities. Come visit us any time between 10am – 12:30pm at the Hub!

- Parents Webinar scheduled for end of March – join us as we talk about Hear For You and what we do. Great opportunity to ask questions! Date TBC
- Itinerant Teacher Teams/School Visits – if you would like us to come and speak to your team and/or students about Hear For You and what we do, contact us to discuss a day and time.
- Contact John/Sherri on:
- Networking Nights – for those of you who are aged 18+, come and meet other young adults. You’ll be surprised just how many of us there are!
- Feedback surveys – we will be looking to get your feedback about all things Hear For You throughout the year so stay tuned!
We look forward to seeing you in-person sometime this year and as always, if you have any questions, please do let us know!
