Hear For You currently has a team of six dedicated mentors in NSW, three male and three female. Apart from being selected for people skills and achievements, our mentors have developed ways to compensate for lack of hearing. The attributes and tactics we have learned and use effectively with hearing people have taught us to turn most negatives into positives.
We are passionate about improving the lives of young deaf people. We aim for equal opportunity and empowerment for these young people. As we come from a variety of professional backgrounds, we will be able to provide a source of career advice and future networking opportunities. We also combine our different strengths and the male/female combination provides the opportunity for boys to relate to male mentors and girls to female mentors.
